Condo Owner Frequently Asked Questions

Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program

How much do the energy efficiency improvements offered in this program cost?

The energy conservation charge on your monthly utility bill covers the cost (materials and labor) for most of the measures being offered. However, there may be a customer copayment for air sealing and insulation. If so, your co-pay amount will be clearly stated on the signup form and you will only be billed for completed work.

How long will it take to complete this work?

There is generally a six to eight week waiting period from the time you sign up until your first installation appointment. If more than one service is offered -- e.g., electrical and insulation -- it may take two or three appointments to complete all of the work.

Does someone have to be home or can you leave the items for me to install?

Per our agreement with the program sponsor, we are required to install most of the measures in your home. We will schedule the appointment(s) in advance, but someone over 18 must be present during the installation.

I own a unit at this facility but it is currently being rented. How do I proceed?

If you have a tenant or do not currently live in your unit, please provide contact information for the person with whom we should schedule the installation appointment(s). Also provide your billing address if the tenant is not responsible for payment of work that has a customer cost (i.e., air sealing and insulation).
