Eliminating a potential danger
from your home.
Radon can enter a home in a number of ways. Through
cracks in concrete floors and walls, drains and sump pumps.
Through water from private wells. And in rare instances,
from particular components used to construct a home.
The fact is, all homes have some amount of radon
concentration. Our RISE Radon Test Kit helps to determine
whether the concentration in your house is within acceptable
levels. Should a problem exist, expert RISE technicians can
use a variety of measures to correct it, These include the
sealing of foundation cracks and openings, water filtering
and venting the gas from beneath the slab.
What is radon? An odorless,
colorless gas, radon is the
byproduct of a naturally occur-
ring process. It can be found in
some concentration everywhere.
In outdoor environments, where
the gas is diluted, there is
nothing to worry about. But
when high levels of radon
accumulate within an enclosed
space, it increases the risk
of developing lung cancer.
